Senior Structural Engineer
Auckland, New Zealand
Start Date: February 2026
The Role:
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a young, energetic firm with strong technical capability and significant growth potential. From day one, you’ll work closely with our directors and senior engineers, contributing to a wide range of projects while continuing to evolve your technical expertise.
What You’ll Do:
• Provide technical leadership and support to engineering staff
• Work closely with directors to help shape and uphold our company culture and values
• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers in their professional development
• Oversee and review work across project lifecycles
• Ensure high-quality output across all design deliverables
• Prepare structural design packages — calculations, specifications, and drawings
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and QS teams
• Support the development of structural drawing packages
• Collaborate with the wider team to deliver documentation aligned with project programmes
• Manage multiple design projects concurrently
• Pursue technical and project opportunities to grow your capability
• Attend CPD events, technical meetings, and work towards CPEng
• Uphold quality assurance and health & safety standards
• Complete timesheets and participate in annual performance reviews
• Carry out additional duties as required
About You
You’re an experienced engineer looking for a meaningful challenge and the chance to contribute to a high-performing design team. You’re technically strong, detail-focused, and thrive in a collaborative environment. You bring:
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent)
• 6+ years of structural engineering experience
• Strong understanding of New Zealand standards, codes, and legislation
• Solid detailing experience required
• Strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills
• A commitment to professional growth
• NZ residency or valid working rights

Intermediate Structural Engineer

• Pursue ongoing professional development (CPD)
About You
You’re driven by a passion for structural engineering and thrive in a collaborative setting. You bring:
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent)
• 2–6 years of structural engineering experience
• Familiarity with New Zealand standards, codes, and legislation
• Strong analytical and communication skills
